The MÉES has sent us questions and answers related to redeployment conditions in the Health and Social Services Sector. There are new details about employment contracts, accreditation units, remuneration, premiums and other topics. Here are some of them.
Remuneration
Any hours worked in addition to those stipulated in the employment contract will be paid at the rate stipulated by the salary scale of the job held by the Education and Higher Education Sector employee redeployed to the Health and Social Services Sector.
Provisions of the Education and Higher Education Sector collective agreements will also continue to apply with regard to remuneration for regular and overtime hours worked.
Premiums
In addition to remuneration, people will also receive the premiums and supplements applicable to salaried workers in the Health and Social Services Sector, as well as the measures stipulated in ministerial orders 2020-015 of April 4, 2020, 2020-017 of April 8, 2020 and 2020-020 of April 10, 2020, including the temporary premiums provided for in these orders, unless the employee benefits from a comparable premium in the education sector.
Seniority
With regard to the accumulation of vacation days, sick-leave days, seniority, experience, and active or continuous service related to the acquisition of tenure, only the provision of service stipulated in the employment contract recognized and agreed upon with the school board or college will be counted.
