The Fédération du personnel de soutien scolaire (FPSS-CSQ) has reached a global settlement agreement with the Comité patronal de négociation pour les centres de services scolaires francophones (CPNCF) and the Comité patronal de négociation pour les commissions scolaires anglophones (CPNCA).
These offers pertain to the sectoral working conditions of school support staff. They will be presented to the Conseil fédéral des négociations (CFN) of the FPSS-CSQ on December 28. If ratified by the CFN, they will become agreements in principle.
Negotiations will continue for the renewal of the school support staff collective agreements of the Cree and Kativik school boards.
But the issues at the central intersectoral table remain unsolved. Salaries and other unavoidable issues for school support staff will have to be resolved to avoid a resumption of pressure tactics in January.
